Q. I signed up for a group class and a private lesson is included. How do I redeem the private lesson and where do I go to get it?

You can take your private lesson anytime before, during or after your class. Call us and we will set up an appointment and come to you or meet you at a place or park of your choice.

Q. When are your group classes?

Dates for the group classes are listed on the "group classes" tab. Click on the calendar to see group class dates.

Q. Why would I take a group class aren't private lessons better?

Group classes are cheaper than private lessons. The class is at the same time every week and it helps to get yourself and your dog into a routine. Group classes remind you to practice the exercises every day so you can learn a new one next week. Classes are great for those that learn from watching other people, and can focus on their dog and the instructor in a group situation. Distractions are in group classes, your dog gets to work around other dogs and people and you and your dog get to make new friends. People can sympathize with you and your dog, most dogs in basic training and puppy classes display the same behaviours, the instructor and the other owners can be very supportive.

Q. Why take a private lesson, can't I learn everything I need to know in a group class?

If your dog is aggressive or reactive it should not be in a group class. The instructor should focus only on you and your aggressive dog in the beginning. If your timing or motivation is off with an aggressive dog in a group class it is very likely that a dog or someone else will get hurt or scared. Schedules vary, not everyone can make the same time every week.

Some dogs will not display the same behaviour in a group class, we may need to go to your home or a park to watch your dog in action so that we can fix the behaviour. Sometimes you only have one behaviour you need to address a private lesson can target that behaviour, sometimes in only one session.

Q. My dog hasn't had it's vaccinations yet, can I start training?

Yes! Please call us for a private lesson, we can train your dog at any age! All of the dogs we bring to private lessons are healthy, and fully vaccinated so yours will stay healthy too.

Q. I can't afford private lessons, and I can't attend a group class. Help!

Why not invite a friend or neighbor to share your private lesson. We don't care how many people attend your lesson, just remember, you may not get the attention you and your dog need if you share the time with others.

Q. I'm on a budget, how do I make a group class more affordable?

Find a coupon at a local vet or pet store, we often offer coupons with $10.00 off group classes.
Opt out of the private lesson. When you register for a group class many of them include a private lesson. Let us know you only want to attend the "group" part and we will take the cost of the private lesson off your bill. Just remember the curriculum includes the private lesson, you will be missing a large part of the course material and when a private lesson is included in a group class it is much

Q. When is your next Seminar?

Q. My dog is aggressive with other dogs, what will happen in the private lesson, will we take him to Southland park so I can show you his bad behaviour?

No. We bring dogs to you in the beginning. When your dog is safe then we bring it into more public areas.

Q. I need to Potty Train my dog, do you have a seminar for this?

Private lessons are best for potty training. We can come in, see your specific situation and set up a schedule that works best for you and your dog.Program and to the homebuyers that they will apply

Q. I have an aggressive dog. Will you walk it?

Yes. Your dog will walk on leash (and humane muzzle if needed) not at the off leash park and not with a group of other dogs.
